Core-Resourcing FAQ’s

What is Core-Resourcing?

Core-Resourcing is a Menu of proven easy to learn, mental tools that enables the user to create lasting and meaningful change very very fast.

What do you mean by Personal Velocity?

Most people think that making changes in their life will always be hard or scary and that progress will always be slow and difficult.

I believe that that’s an un useful set of beliefs to carry around.

We have proved that often times, positive changes don’t have to be accompanied by pain or hardship, and it certainly doesn’t have to be slow. At the end of the day we are all heading some place, the question is; “where, how fast and is that where we want to be going?”

We teach people how to find the answers those questions. Then we teach them how to enhance their personal performance, speed and direction. The natural by-product is that they get more of what they want with less and less effort over time.

Will the changes I make be permanent? It seemed to work for a while and then some of those same old feelings came back.

The good news is that any action that you take to change the way you feel, to change what you believe; to change how you act and react will leave a lasting positive impression. While it’s true that often people will use these materials and achieve both small and large sustained changes straight away, the caveat on that is to remember that you are not a machine. You’re not devoid of feelings and life doesn’t always go to plan. Sometimes you may feel down, hurt or angry and that that is natural. The thing to remember is to ask “what is the message of the emotion?” “What is it trying to tell me that is useful?”

And to simply see any hint of what might appear to be “the old feelings” or “old behavior” or “old thoughts” as a useful sign post that says “hey, there’s something here I need to attend to and now I have the tools to do it!” or “hey, now that I’m at this new higher level of consciousness, I’ve noticed something else needs attending to or changing” just as you would for any other part of your life. For example; If the lawn needed mowing, we would mow it. We wouldn’t sit in our house and avoid going outside. We wouldn’t glare at it or yell at it or blame it or excuse it. We would just start up the mower and make it the way we want it.

And we also know that if we want that lawn to look good all of the time with the least amount of effort, we simply need to maintain it on a regular basis.

And once you have these tools and really let yourself master them. Letting them grow into “just how you think,” “it’s just how you are now” then life’s problems become more like challenges that are exciting to you, because your confidence and self respect has grown stronger as has your natural ability to create the results you want.

I made a change with one of my beliefs but it didn’t seem to work. Did I do it wrong?

It’s probably not that you did anything wrong. The result that you are describing can occur if what you changed was not the “driver” or “root cause” of what you were trying to change.

Let me put it another way. If say you wanted to be more confident. And the belief that you found yourself using to feel unconfident was “people don’t like me.” And you used our patterns to change that belief, but the feeling and the way you behaved still made you feel unconfident.

Then simply use that feedback as an indicator that is saying “I’m a symptom or surface level belief,” “I’m not the core belief or root cause” of the problem.

So simply use our patterns to chase and identify the core beliefs (or root cause). And change that instead, and then you will get real and lasting change.

(The common core belief in this case may have been “I’m not good enough” or “I’m not likeable / loveable” which led you to feel that people didn’t like you.

So by applying our patterns to change those core beliefs (deep structure), the surface level beliefs will also reorganize and change as well and create the result you wanted).

What is hypnosis and how does it work?

Hypnosis is simply a word that is used to describe a state of mind. Everyone goes in and out of what could be termed “hypnotic states” all of the time. Day dreaming is an example of a hypnotic state. Just before falling into deep sleep or just before waking up in the morning, we all move into the hypnotic (alpha wave) state. This is the state where if you want to make a positive suggestion to yourself about improving apart of yourself, your subconscious mind is most receptive to accepting that command. And it’s your subconscious that is responsible for maintaining your habits just the way they are, so “changing your mind” so to speak, about something you do that you want to stop doing, but have in the past, struggled to change consciously, can almost always be changed by using hypnosis.

Therapists use it to help clients overcome truma, athletes use it to improve performance, public speakers use it to improve their speaking, in fact it’s one of the easiest and fastest ways of improving any area of performance, like self esteem, self image, self confidence, ability and more.

Is Hypnosis safe?

Hypnotic states are a natural part of being human. It’s not hypnosis that is dangerous. It’s what you are focused on while you are in hypnosis that determines whether it serves you well or not.

Is Hypnosis evil, bad, mind control or brain washing?

Most people are familiar with stage hypnosis or what they see in the movies. The image of a hypnotist making people close their eyes and go into a deep trance, then giving them silly suggestions and getting them to do silly things. Or the evil bad guy who manipulates honest people into doing bad things.

Hypnosis is not evil, it is natural. Only people with evil intentions, are evil.

Is it mind control, yes you can use self hypnosis to control your own mind and make you stronger and more resilient in almost any area of life.

Yes, a competent hypnotist whom you trust can help you using hypnotic patterns to overcome past issues, current problems and improve performance.

Is it brain washing. Here’s the thing, we are constantly washing our brains with thoughts and feelings all day every day all of our lives. The only question is, what are we washing it with? The contaminated waters of Gossip, bad news, pessimism, resentment, apathy, blame, prejudice, depressed thoughts, hopelessness, helplessness and worthlessness. Or with the refreshing and cleansing fresh water spring of self respect, I can do it, I have faith in myself, excitement, enthusiasm, joy, commitment, self accountability and respect for others.

Can someone make me do something I don’t want to do, using hypnosis?

People are influenced to do things both useful and un useful all of the time. By advertising, sales people, by marketers, by parents, peers, partners, bosses, churches, politicians, rumors, gossip and Newspapers. All of these are forms of Hypnosis. Your responsibility to your self is to detect, select and de select the useful from the un useful.

When used deliberately and purposefully hypnosis will help a person to achieve whatever is important to them.

I’ve heard you say that we go in and out of hypnosis all the time; that it’s a natural state, is that true?

Whenever we focus on some thing, like when we are reading a really great book or engrossed in a movie or in thought. At some point we’ll stop paying attention to our surroundings as we get pulled into the emotion of the story on the page or screen or in our mind.

Or if we are driving somewhere and while driving we are thinking about what we are going to do when we get there or thinking about something else. Then quite suddenly we have arrived at our destination, and may not necessarily remember parts of the actual trip. These are examples of natural normal hypnotic states?

Thinking of any kind (concentration on any conversation that you have with yourself and whatever you are imagining and feeling), generally leads to a hypnotic state. The only question is, is what you are concentrating on useful or un useful.

Is there anyone for whom hypnosis won’t work for?

No. It’s a normal state that you are already using all day every day. All we teach people to do is how to use it to successfully reinforce your self esteem and release your full potential.

How much time will I need to put into the “Go for Gold” program?

That’s a good question. It really depends on the person and their situation. I know people who have whipped thought the program by studying the materials for an hour a day over a six week period and they have been quite happy with their results.

I know lots of people who have taken many months to complete the program simply because they really got into it. And really dug deep to get every ounce of freedom from the materials that they could.

I think that the best answer is that it’s not a race and it’s not an exam. It’s a complete self development make over. It’s an opportunity for you to design “the you” that you want to be and achieve the things that are important to you. So maybe begin by putting an hour a day aside for study, and let yourself decide as you go.

Either way, most people tell me that they review the materials annually anyway, because every time they do, they are at a different stage and level of their life and they “get” something that they missed last time, simply because they are at a higher level of awareness.
